Description: Kick off the fall term at University Housing and Dining’s Texas-sized welcome event for new Longhorns. Enjoy a live band, DJ performance with a light show, country western dance along, Texas-themed bingo and petting zoo. Stick around for crafts, free food and more at this immersive, vibrant celebration of the Forty Acres and the Lone Star State.

Location: Mike A. Myers Stadium (east of DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium)
Description: The first 500 UT students will get FREE Raising Cane’s before the Texas Longhorns, under the leadership of new Head Coach Margueritte Bates, take on the Baylor Bears. Food will be distributed beginning at 6:30 p.m. so arrive early and bring the Texas Fight to cheer on your Horns. Please note that Myers Stadium has a clear bag policy in place, so please leave your backpacks at home.

Description: Cap off Longhorn Welcome week with Longhorn Friday, where you can snap a photo in our custom frame and turn it into a picture-perfect magnet to take home! Grab some free burnt orange swag so you're ready for game days and can join the campus-wide tradition of wearing UT's signature shade every Friday. Plus, discover a piece of UT history while you're there and learn how burnt orange and white officially became the colors of the Forty Acres.

Description: Let aUsTinite be your guide as we head into the heart of the city! We are taking a weekend field trip to the SFC Downtown Farmers’ Market in Republic Square to support local Texas farmers, sample fresh artisanal treats, explore unique crafts, and soak up the morning vibes with your fellow Longhorns. The aUsTinite staff will guide you on the trip, handle the navigation, and help you get familiar with using city transit. You must RSVP in advance for this event.
