Mooov-In
Aug. 18-19, 7 a.m.-8 p.m. | UFCU Disch-Falk Field
New and returning Longhorns are welcomed to the Forty Acres during this two-day event. Students pick up their room key at centralized check-in and settle into 15 on-campus residence halls and Dobie Twenty21.
Beat the Heat
Aug. 19 | 2-6 p.m. | University Union
Take a break from the blazing Texas sun and make new friends at Beat the Heat. The Texas Union is throwing open its doors to welcome new students to campus with a variety of fun activities and events hosted throughout the building for all to enjoy. Offerings include trivia, movies, billiards, karaoke, bowling, food, a pop-up arcade, and free access to the Alienware Longhorn Esports Lounge.
Find Your Way
Aug. 19 | 7-10 p.m. | GRE Plaza
Explore all that UT Austin involvement has to offer at Find Your Way! Come for live student performances, engage in activities with student organizations, grab some snacks, and enjoy an evening of fun and spirit!
Bevo's Quest
Aug. 20 | 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. | PCL Plaza
Join Living the Longhorn Life and compete with friends in this team-based scavenger hunt that can help you learn more about campus resources and key spots at The University of Texas at Austin. Prizes will be handed out to winning teams. Learn more on Hornslink!
Gone to Texas

Hosted by President Hartzell, Gone to Texas is a rich tradition for all new students to formally mark their arrival as the newest members of The University of Texas community.

Mix and mingle with your Longhorn Community! Learn about campus resources who support a sense of belonging to help you feel more connected while enjoying live performances, creating your own customizable "good vibes" jar, and great food.
Soccer UT vs. Louisiana State University (LSU)
Aug. 24 | 7 p.m. | Mike A. Myers Soccer Field
The first 500 UT students will get FREE Raising Cane’s before the Longhorns take on Louisiana State University. Food will be distributed starting at 6 p.m. so arrive early and bring the Texas Fight!
The Wellness Zone: Play, Connect, Refresh

The first week of classes can feel both exciting and overwhelming at times, but don’t worry – we’ve created the perfect space for you! Choose your own wellness adventure with staff and students from the Longhorn Wellness Center, SHIFT, Center for Students in Recovery, and the Counseling and Mental Health Center. With different paths leading to different wellness zones, social activities, and other surprises, you can feel free to press pause OR play depending on the vibe you need today!
Silent Disco

Join Living the Longhorn Life for a musical experience you won’t want to miss: Silent Disco! Pick up a headset and jam out to several different DJs based on your musical preferences.
Longhorn Fair

Come one, come all to the Neon Circus at Longhorn Fair! Stop by for glow-in-the-dark games, circus treats and more. The fun starts at 7 p.m.
